The Start-Up University Spin-offs programme supports start-up projects with up to 240,000 euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. We are very happy to have been selected as one of 9 teams for the funding and to now be financially supported for 12 months.

Objective of the project

The founding team plans to develop an open learning platform that makes outstanding technological education and training freely available to everyone. The open platform edyoucated enables every user to find the most effective way to learn new skills by generating a personalised learning path from the most important knowledge sources on the internet using intelligent recommendation algorithms. To do this, the platform aggregates and curates a variety of different learning content available on the internet on different platforms and in numerous different formats. Based on the collected data and the user's level of knowledge, edyoucated supports as a digital assistant in selecting the appropriate content. The recommendation algorithm continuously optimises itself through learning behaviour and thus offers the user a better learning experience every day. For companies, the platform offers the possibility to train urgently needed professionals of the future internally. A clear vision and the combination of current research results from occupational psychology with modern machine learning approaches create the potential for edyoucated to fundamentally change the nature of further education both privately and in companies and to counteract the growing talent shortage in the world.

Status Quo

A first prototype has already been developed and validated together with TechLabs e.V. in a closed test group. Many thanks at this point for the numerous user feedbacks! We are currently expanding the platform in all areas in order to soon start a first validation with pilot customers in the context of staff training.
